Anyone can be “stand up” during good times. It’s only when one is confronted with adversity

of Bill Chalmers in 2008. Bill and I had known each other as fellow brokers for several years.
In 2007 we decided to develop a strip center together. Timing couldn’t have been worse as the
Great Recession was upon us just after we started the process. Under great stress, Bill
