Anyone can be “stand up” during good times. It’s only when one is confronted with adversity
does his true character show through” the saying goes. That was never more true than it was
of Bill Chalmers in 2008. Bill and I had known each other as fellow brokers for several years.
In 2007 we decided to develop a strip center together. Timing couldn’t have been worse as the
Great Recession was upon us just after we started the process. Under great stress, Bill
remained steadfast, determined, and professional…all while maintaining a sense of humor.
